Privacy policy
Last updated: 16 August 2026
1. Who this policy covers
This policy explains how Ari Hakdang handles personal data submitted through this website, in particular through the Batch 1 application form.
Company registration is in progress. Once it is issued, the registered company name, number and address will be published in this section and in the site footer.
2. What we collect
We collect what the application form asks for:
- ·Your name
- ·Nationality and country of residence
- ·Email address
- ·Messenger app, and the number or ID for it
- ·Age band — not your date of birth
- ·Self-assessed Korean level
- ·Preferred room type and preferred start period
- ·Your reason for learning Korean, and how you heard about us
- ·Anything you choose to write in the free-text field
- ·Your consent choices
3. What we deliberately do not ask for
At application stage we do not ask for your passport number, date of birth, home address or any payment details. Those are only needed if you decide to enrol, and are collected separately at that point.
Our hosting provider records standard technical information with each request, such as your IP address, the country it resolves to, and your browser user agent.
4. Why we collect it
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
- ·To contact you about your application and answer your questions.
- ·To plan class levels, room allocation and start dates for Batch 1.
- ·To understand, in aggregate, which countries and which channels applicants come from. This is the main purpose of Batch 1.
- ·To send you news about later batches — only if you ticked the optional box.
5. The basis for processing
We process this data on the basis of the consent you give when you submit the form. Consent for handling your application is required, because without it we cannot process the application at all. Consent for marketing updates is separate and optional, and refusing it has no effect on your application.
6. How long we keep it
- ·If you enrol: for the duration of the programme, and afterwards for as long as tax and educational record-keeping rules require.
- ·If you do not enrol: up to 24 months from submission, so we can tell you about a later batch — unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- ·If you withdraw consent: we delete your record within 30 days, except where we are legally required to keep it.
7. Who we share it with
We share your data only where it is necessary to run the programme:
- ·The partner institution that handles student permit (SSP) paperwork — only after you decide to enrol, and we will tell you which institution before anything is shared.
- ·Providers who process data on our behalf: website hosting and form handling, transactional email delivery, and website analytics.
- ·Public authorities, where the law requires us to disclose.
8. What we never do with it
We do not share your data with education agents or third-party marketers, and we do not publish it.
9. Where your data is held
This website and the application form run on a global content network, so your data may be stored and processed on servers outside your country of residence. The providers we use are bound by their own data processing terms.
10. Cookies and analytics
This website does not use advertising cookies. We use analytics to count visits and to see which countries and channels visitors come from. That is measured in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally.
11. Your rights
You can ask us to:
Write to [email protected] from the address you used in the form and we will answer within 30 days. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you may also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
- ·show you the data we hold about you
- ·correct it, if it is wrong
- ·delete it
- ·withdraw your consent, including marketing consent, at any time
12. Age
The programme is for adults. The youngest age band on the form begins at 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has submitted the form, write to us and we will delete the record.
13. Security
Data is sent over an encrypted connection and kept in access-controlled storage. Only the staff who process applications can read it.
14. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. If a change is significant, we will contact applicants whose data we still hold.
